STATIC joins Epoch Art Gallery

Static is made up of two friends who have been working together for the past 5 years since meeting at school. They are now based in East London where they produce their original work and screen print editions in house and by hand. Their work combines elements of street art and fine art, merging their clean graphic style with stencils, spray paint, screen printing and brushes to create unique pieces which have been exhibited on the streets of London and a number of international galleries.

We've taken delivery of one of their most iconic images "Candelabra Chinook", which the guys of Static have individually hand finished to create three different and unique prints. Entitled "CC Splat" the prints are 56 x 56 cm and are priced at £125 each and include free UK delivery. We also have one framed in the shop, which is in a 4 cm wide, black wooden frame with a single white window mount and is priced at £225. The size of the framed piece is 72 x 72 cm.

New prints by Copyright

We have just taken delivery of two new prints by Copyright. These are truly stunning and have to be seen in person. 'Purity' and 'Filth' are giclee with screen print and spot varnish. They have then been hand finished with gold leaf by the artist. Each print measures 72 x 91cm and are priced at £275 each. Framed prints can be quoted on request. Both are a of an edition of only 35.

DOLK

New in this month we have managed to get hold of Dolk's new print, Prison Painter. Dolk Lundgren is a Norwegian stencil artist and has grown in popularity since working alongside Wooster Collective and Pictures on Walls. Dolk's work can be seen all over the world at events including The Cans Festival London 2008 and Nuart Stavanger Norway. Prison Painter is a silkscreen signed limited edition print of 150. 65cm x 65cm. The print can be purchased for £375, UK delivery included or complete in a contemporary black box frame at £510 plus delivery.

Copyright joins Epoch Art Gallery

C. R. Thomas aka Copyright, has been daubing the streets of the UK with his trademark pink for years and his work has been collected by the likes of Liam Howlett from the Prodigy. His paintings represent ideals from the modern world and culture, portrayed within classic imagery of simple beauty, often depicted by butterflies, flowers and beautiful women. He creates print styles with stencils, depth with spray paint and texture with a paintbrush. But most importantly his paintings look good on walls.

We have three different pieces available and each is hand finished and unique from the next; Fallen Rose is a limited edition of 10, Through the Looking Glass Rainy Day (Red) is a limited edition of 10 and Through the Looking Glass Rainy Day (Black) is from a limited edition of just 7. Each piece measures 35 x 27 cm and each is priced at £80, including free UK delivery.

New Ben Allen print

Ben's back with a new twist on a popular theme. The piece is entitled 'Union Jack Skull' and is exquisitely produced using vinyl inks which create a raised or embossed effect over the image and contrast beautifully with the matt black paper. Ben has used the skull motif before with his popular 'Mexicana Skull' print, but the colours of the Union Flag make this a particularly outstanding piece. The print is limited to an edition of 100, measures 72 x 50 cms and is retailing for £220 which as usual, includes free UK delivery.

'This News Just In'. We understand that Ben Allen is currently working on another version of his highly collectable 'Lovebird' series. No confirmation yet on what colour, or colours it will be, but keep an eye on the Epoch Art Gallery website as we will be stocking them as soon as they are published.

New Artist 'March On' joins Epoch Art Gallery

As you probably know by now, we're always on the lookout for new and emerging talent and this guy has really caught our attention. He's from Nagoya, Japan and goes by the name of 'March On'. Incredibly, he left art school in 2009 and he's already had two sell solo shows. The piece that we have just taken delivery of is called 'Fairy #2' and we've managed to get our mitts on a couple of very rare APs (numbers 1 & 2 of just 3 editions). Its a freehand spray paint and stencil piece, onto a stretched canvas measuring 65 x 53 cm. The detail is impressive and each one is unique and slightly different from the next. The piece is priced at £385, which includes free UK delivery.

New Prefab 77 print in

New in this month is Prefab 77's 'Boots'. Released for Prefab's sell-out show 'Shot at from Both Sides' which was held at The BLDG in Covington, Kentucky, 'Boots' is a 4 colour/1 varnish hand pulled screen print. Printed on French Smart White paper, the piece measures 63 x 43 cms and is priced at a very modest £60 including free UK delivery. Each one is embossed with the BLDG stamp and is signed and numbered by the artist.

We have a limited supply of these beauties, so be sure to check it out before they go. Prefab recently showed at Lazarides in Newcastle and are going from strength to strength. Their prints are getting harder to get hold of, so definitely one to watch.
